Thursday Drop In (free)

12:30 - 2:30 pm

Bring your own project or start a new one. Pull up a chair and enjoy the fellowship of similar minds. Knit, Crochet, Spin, Weave, Felt or Hook

If you require personal help please arrive 15 min early for a mini lesson.

Mini Lessons

If your require help with a specific knitting project, please drop in anytime there is no class in progress. 

Mini lessons are $5 per 15 minute session.


Wednesday Weaving Drop In (free)

Join Donna & fellow beginner weavers to work on your project, plan a project, help each other.

Winter 2019

Beginner Knitting/New Knitters:  

Prerequisite: None

Drop in and work on a project you need help with, pick a new project to continue/expand your knitting experience/get back into knitting/learn to knit in the round.Join in to any knitting class $15/session

Tuesday Evenings 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Available weekday Tue - Friday for your private, or private group lessons


Enhanced beginning Weaving on the Rigid Heddle Loom  $75

$25 pre paid to book space

Prerequisite: None

Use of equipment and supplies to complete your project are included. 

This class is designed for the person who has never used any kind of loom before. We will start with an introduction to the loom, terminology and preparing a project. Then we will set up the loom using the direct warp method and get you weaving! 

We will be making a table runner which will be yours to keep.  

Some colour choices will be available before the class. You will also be given a booklet with information on everything we covered in this class - yours to keep for reference.  

One day - 7 hours (bring a lunch) 9am - 4pm

Beginner: Saturday Feb 9th, Feb 23 and March 16th

Refresher Workshop

Prerequisite: Must have taken beginner weaving with Michelle

Wednesday Feb 13th 6-9 pm: 

Recap:  warping, "yank & crank", hemstitch, repairing skips and project planning

Intermediate Weaving

Prerequisite: Loom must be warped

Freestyle weaving sampler that will require 2 colors (black & white look nice) of worsted weight handicraft cotton

Freestyle Weaving

Prerequisite: Open to anyone with a loom who has some weaving experience. Loom must be warped

Project is a scarf. Using a 12.5 reed warped with 2/8 black cotton.

Two at a Time Toe Up Sock using Fish Lips Kiss Heel 

Prerequisite: Must be able to knit and have completed several projects 

Great for anyone who wants to learn to knit socks or learn toe up/2 at a time sock method

Sundays Feb 10th, 17th and 24th 10:30 am - 12:30 pm $45

Learn to knit Mittens in the Round  

Prerequisite: must be able to knit, purl and follow a basic pattern

Includes basic cable lesson

Tuesday evenings or book a daytime class $15 for 2 hour session

Beginner Weaving

Begin with a simple table runner.  Class includes access to Michelle's private, weaving Facebook group.  Purchase your loom on site from a Ashford Wheel & Loom dealer.  Get together with like minded fiber enthusiast to create everything from fine table linens & shawls to beautiful blankets & clothing.
