2 at a time, Toe up, Socks

Do you ever suffer from 2nd sock syndrome (after the initial sock is finished  you can't find the desire to start the 2nd sock)?  Knitting both socks using the magic loop puts an end to 2nd sock syndrome.  Both socks get completed at the same time.  

Consists of four, two hour sessions Tuesday from 1-3 PM

Prerequisite:  Advance beginner/intermediate knitter.  Must be able to cast-on, knit & purl.

$80 + tax

Materials: 100 g fingering wt. yarn & a 40" circular needle

Learn to weave on a rigid heddle loom. 

Prerequisite:  None

This workshop consists of basic weaving terminology, warping/threading the loom, weaving and finishing the project.  Everyone will take home a completed table runner.

$80 + tax: includes all materials

I invite you to learn "traditional Newfoundland double ball mittens" as shared with me by co-author Shirley Scott.

We will create tidy jogless stripes, how to make increase for the hand, following a chart and carrying two colors of yarn.

Prerequisite: Intermediate.  Must be able to knit, purl & cast on stitches.

$55 + tax.  Includes: pattern & 2 skeins "Regal" yarn

Materials required: 4 mm double pointed needles, ring markers, scissors

Take your weaving to the next step with new techniques

Prerequisite:  Arrive with loom warped and ready for class (have completed a beginner class or proven competency).

Discussion on using color & weave, demonstration of using a warping board or multiple pegs.  Participants will use pick up sticks and learn basic finger techniques to create patterns on a sampler project.

Workshop consists of new techniques for selecting and creating different textures to complete a stunning one of a kind scarf.

 Prerequisite:  Arrive with loom warped and ready for class (have completed a beginner class or proven competency).

Materials: 12-12.5 dpi reed, black 2/8 cotton for warp & 50 g fingering wt. yarn for base color.  Bits & piece of left over yarn, ribbon, etc.

Double Heddle Weaving Technique

In this workshop you will learn to warp 2 heddles to make a double width of fabric.  We will be making a small sample to learn the basic warping and removal from loom.

Material: must have your own loom and two 7.5 dpi heddles

Prerequisite: Intermediate/advanced. Must have a good understanding of your loom
